“IDENTITIES IN FLUX I” utilizes archived inspiration photos pulled from my personal and private database of 70,000+photos. DECONSTRUCTION OF IDENTITY
The images used in this video are the kind that were not taken with the intention of ever being shared. They are not for social media, an edited reality, they are unfiltered and unremarkable to anyone else but me. Taking something once private and turning it into data allowed me to seek the patterns that can only be discovered from a point of objectivity. The images that I now considered to be points of information, were grouped, organized, and regenerated as a unique viewing into my life.
If my iphone album is my private space, the screensaver can be displayed as my private gallery. This video is a collection of recorded screensavers created from the re-organized data. A personal exhibition of personal memories, put on a personal platform.
